Compounding Pharmacists

Matthew van Emmerik: Matthew is a community and Compounding Pharmacist in Launceston Tasmania. After graduating from the University of Tasmania in 1997, Matthew worked in Tasmania before moving to England, where he spent 4 years as a Hospital Pharmacist, practising in a variety of roles. Matthew returned to Tasmania and became a communtiy pharmacy owner before transferring into a compounding pharmacy in 2010.

Matthew has undergone comprehensive compounding training and finds that the diverse nature of compounding ensures greater job satisfaction.

David Peachey: David graduated from Pharmacy at the University of Tasmania in 2005. Since then he has worked at a variety of Community Pharmacies in and around northern Tasmania, gaining valuable experience in helping patients with their healthcare needs. In 2010 the opportunity became available to become a junior partner at a Compounding Pharmacy. Together with Matthew, they did their specialist compounding training in Sydney in February 2011, and have been working on furthering their capabilities since to best help their patients, new and existing. 

David is also a Home Medication Review accredited pharmacist and has an interest in helping patients to self manage their medicines more effectively as part of their healthcare team with their pharmacist and doctor.

Shannan Pratt: Shannan has recently qualified as a pharmacist after completion of her pharmacy Intern Training Program at Priceline Pharmacy Launceston Plaza and Priceline Pharmacy Launceston (Hatton & Laws Pharmacy). As part of her intern training program, the managing pharmacists facilitated for Shannan to complete her compounding training with PCCA, just as they had done in 2011.
