"What you eat is what you are". The saying was coined many years ago, and it is still appropriate today!

Healthy living is gained through exactly that; Healthy Living. It is not something that is done for one or two weeks, as a diet, or temporary change to lose some kilos; it is a fundamental change in the way that we live our day to day lives!

Changes like this are obviously difficult to make! We recommend several options and reviewing several key information areas to gain insight into what are appropriate methods of healthy living, and key influences on how to acheive a change in your lifestyle may include:

Essentially we have some tips to head in the right direction:

  1. Drink plenty of water, and reduce intake of alcohol and sugary drinks, including fruit juices, soft drinks (even diet varieties), and cordials
  2. Exercise. For at least 30 minutes a day. This means getting off the couch! Remember - you do not have to run a marathon, you just have to make a start on getting some regular movement into your daily activity.
  3. Change eating habits including ensuring that portion sizes are better controlled, the types of foods consumed are appropriate (junk foods/fatty foods/takeaways etc - there are very few 'healthy options' available from any fast food distributor).
  4. Avoid the desire for the 'magic cure'. There is unfortunately no such thing, and taking a supplement/super food/metabolic booster/dietary sweetener etc because 'it's healthy' has little evidence for real change without the above input.
